Fighting Digital Poverty in UK communities

At Community Laptops, we re-distribute electronic equipment from organisations and individuals, to schools, people and families that need devices the most.

We set up in 2020 to support families excluded and isolated due to digital poverty. The COVID 19 pandemic has highlighted the stark reality of digital poverty in the UK.  It is now a legal requirement for families to "have access to remote education" but alarmingly high numbers of families live without laptops and wifi. Millions of people also live in isolation, with no access to online resources or services due to no access to a device or data.

In the spirit of mutual aid, we aim to empower UK communities with access to digital devices.
