At the start of December we were delighted to be able to team up with Expedia Group and the charity Maslaha to deliver five 15" Macbook Pros and 2 iPads to Woodgrange Infant School, Newham.
We developed our relationship with Woodgrange Infant School through the charity Maslaha who had been in discussions with the school about supporting families in precarious financial situations.
Assistant head teacher, Dana Dajani, pictured above with Latifa from Community Laptops said that the seven families that the devices were donated to had previously had no access to a laptop or tablet at home. She said that the parents had been struggling considerably to support their children with school work and learning at home, and that they were overjoyed to hear that they would be able to get a device. Dana told us that it is hard to explain the difference this would make to the families and to their ability to support their child in learning at home, and connect with local resources and support.
We were delighted to be able to support these families with the continued generous support of Expedia Group.
